2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: my strength is made perfect in weakness . . .

I have found that God's grace is limitless and the more I depend on him the more grace he provides. Sometimes I get frustrated at my own weakness and then I remember that in my weakness I can totally depend on him for strength and it is always the perfect strength that I need. At this moment in my life, my days are filled with many needs for his strength, the Lord is always faithful to me. I have also found that it is in those moments of weakness and in the times when I feel as though eveything is out of my control, all I have to do is whisper the name of Jesus and he is there ready to carry me through. I do not feel that God delights in our demise but he loves that fact that we depend on him so completely during the times of weakness. This is a practice we should make in our daily lives to hand everything over the Lord, whether its the kids acting up or the car breaks down, even if we feel we just don't know how we are going to make it to the next day. When I look back on my day, I am amazed at the miracles God's works for me. He can do that for you too, just cast your cares on him for he careth for you.

Hello everyone. I am trying to post quickly and put some pics up(the slideshow below), of our quick trip to Gatlinburg. We had an enjoyable couple days in Gatlinburg and left just in time for Dolly to arrive. They say it gets crazy down there starting tonight. They close the road through Pigeon Forge and kick the season off with a parade. We enjoyed beautiful weather and the sights that only God could create. The mountains were gorgeous and the trees were flowering a beautiful lavendar color. The kids enjoyed walking along a stream and climbing rocks. We went to Clingmans Dome, highest point in the Smokies I believe, on top is a lookout which had a curved rampup to it, very high and with my insane fear of heights I let everyone else go up. I am ready to go back it was so much fun. We did two indoor activites, 1) Wonderworks, a building, built upside down which is a great kids museum, and then 2)Mr Gattis Pizza which had an arcade. Alex liked the basketball game the best. All in all it was an enjoyable time for our family.

Here are few pictures of a couple different times. Today we celebrated Emily's 6th birthday, her actual birthday is April 2nd. She is getting big and is a great help to me. She likes to hang out in th kitchen with me and always wants to cook. Her cake was a candy land cake. actually was quite easy to make. Just icing the cake and put a bunch of candy on it and there you have it. She had lots of fun and got some really great gifts.

The other picture is of the girls with their cousins on Easter at my mother-in-laws.

I really don't have the presence of mind to write much right now, so I won't bore you with a lot of nonsence. I will write later. Have a great weekend.

Hello everyone. Much has happened since our last blog. We have added another member to our family and no it is not a baby. It is a parakeet that is quite young so I cannot tell you if it is a boy or girl. it is a white parakeet that we have named Angel. It seems like it will be a friendly little bird and a great pet for the kids. Since getting this bird our cat has had a look as if on the hunt. We have to keep it downstairs. The may saying goodbye, and finding a new home. I do like out cat but it has not been the best pet for our kids. She tends to bite and scratch. If anyone wants a cat she is free to you. She is great with adults and is used to being inside. She is best in one cat families. Well there is my advertisement. Have a nice day.
