Hip hip, hooray the weather man was wrong. We were supposed to get 2 inches of snow through the night, but we got a few flurries, and did not amount to anything. It might even get up to 40 degrees today. We can actually see our driveway and the grass is peaking through.

Now onto family life. Last night the kids, Randy, their Uncle Wayne and the cousins and their dad went to the circus. They had loads of fun and the best part was Alex was asleep when they got home so he went right to bed. One down 2 to go. The girls had other ideas and ended up in trouble because they were to loud and playing instead of going to sleep.

Let me back track a little to the morning. I was getting to go to work and Alex came up the stairs with tears in his eyes and a pout on his mouth, because he new I had to leave. So I proceeded to try to cheer him and told him that daddy was going to take him to the circus. He looked had me so sadly, still, and said, "did the circus come to town". I just smiled and said, "yes, the circus came to town". I wish you could have seen his face. It was so cute. He did settle back on the couch and go to sleep.

All in all it was a good day, even though I had to work and miss the circus.

It is snowing once again. I am not sure how much we will get or are supposed to get, it guess it just not really matter at this point. This recalls to my mind the book "The Long Winter", by Laura Ingalls Wilder, winter just seemed to go on forever. I know its only February, but I am tired of the cold and snow and the ice. I keep looking ahead and knowing that spring will come, trees will turn green, flowers will blossom, and the beautiful robin will appear to sing its song, build its nest and lay those pretty pale blue eggs. Just thinking about the order of God's creation gets me smiling. He is so wonderful how he made the world the way he did, even giving snow, with each snowflake completely individual. He is marvelous, and is works are too. Remember to give God the glory for all the things he has done. Good night.

This morning in our sunday school and and the message both were talking about this subject: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, with all thy mind and with all thy strength. This should speak to each and everyone of us because if our world realized this thought it would be a different place, because if we truly love the Lord our God in this way we want to obey everyone of his commandments. We would love our neigbour, we would not want to worship false god's or listen to false teachers. If we would love God with our whole being and understand that he does want to be a part of evey aspect of our lives, our thoughts would be different. We would also realize this verse, Let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord my strenght and my redeemer. There are those out there who do not believe that God can truly be a part of our entire lives. What we think, what we eat, what we buy, you name it he should be the center of our lives. If it wasn't for God and his sanctifying power I would not handle things the way I do. I have days where satan comes at me right and left by using the ones I love to try and make me break the covenant I have with God. I want to have a right spirt and show love to those around, one that can stand the test of time, tried by fire and comes out stronger and more trusting in God. I hope that you will pray for me that I will have the strength to go through each day, pray that God's presence will reach out to those around me and show them what God I see's. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that you have a heart that is centered around God. I love you all. Goodbye.

I am back at my post as local weather girl, albeit reluctantly, I feel the need to make sure everyone understands what it is like outside. I can speak with authority because I was a victim of the weather. I was "smart" enough to offer to work today because I thought it would be so much fun to have to drive home in the winter storm we would get this evening hitting just before rush hour. My shift was to end at 8pm and I sat at my pts bedside watching the snow falling outside. About 6 or so it started sleeting and that is when I thought I would leave an hour early. My pt was in a nursing home so they would have care even if I wasn't in there, therefore I felt comfortable with leaving early. So, I began my treck home, down a very long winding road, thankfully there was this option because the way I had gone to work was towards I74 up and down hills, very steep going up. My truck would not have made it. So as I was saying I started driving down this road which was very curvy, and steep at times. I just put my truck in 2nd and coasted down tapping the breaks at times. I did have some cars behind me but I felt slow is better even if those behind felt I should go faster. I was not going to risk it. I finally made it to the bottom and drove along River Road which although a very long road was flat and not very highly traveled. The real test would be the big hill up going to my exit, the Lord was looking out for me and heard my prayers. The hill was relatively clear and traffic was moving slowly but steadily. I made it home in one piece. It took me about an hour, for a normally 30 minute drive. We have so far about 2-3 inches of snow and now it is sleeting and to alternate with freezing rain and sleet until tomorrow afternoon. I think I might invest in some skis or snow shoes. And in my "professional "opinion I think we are heading into an "ice age", global warming, yeah right. Al Gore come live in our part of the country and tell us about global warming, it won't be just congress laughing at you. Well I think that about covers it. I hope you all have a safe and pleasant night. Stay warm except for those of you in sunny Florida, send us some sunshine. And my international friends who view this blog, I hope you are blessed with good weather. I will sign off for now, g'day.

Do you know what an Alberta Clipper is, well in really a clipper is a fast ship I believe if I recollect that right, but in our area a clipper is a fast moving snow event. Started around 3am and ended about 8am, leaving us with 3inches of snow and tons of school closings. There were many accidents too. Well just so you know, the weather here is cold and snowy and I am ready for spring. Maybe if I say it enough it will happen. Actually I am not that discontent. snow is pretty and the kids love it, so we will enjoy our snow. Have a blessed day. Bev

Another day, another cold day. Yesterday the temperature was in the 50's today low 30's, and then of all things it snowed not alot but at one point the snowfall was so thick you could hardly see through it. Megan was saying it was a blizzard. I am so ready for spring, I like the warm weather so much better and it gives me more energy and therefore I get more done. Today we went to the Creation Museum with my sister Christal. It was fun when Alex wasn't whining. He has had a cold so he feels kind've crummy. The museum was crowded because schools were off due to Presidents Day. I will say that even though I have been there 3 times I see different things each time I go. It is very detailed. I did enjoy myself even through the whining. We then went to Frisch's afterwards for lunch and my little Alex would not order food because he said he wanted to eat at the Creation Museum resteraunt. Well that wasn't going to happen. He did eat one of my fries but did not want to order any food. He still hasn't really eaten much, I guess he will eat when he is ready, you can lead a kid to the table but you can't force food down their throat. It is only 7:20pm and he is already alseep. Poor kid I know he doesn't feel good when he goes to sleep before 9pm. Well, I will sign off for now, I have baths to give and more arguments over food with another child to settle. She won't eat supper and wants a hotdog. Mom's not giving in.

P.S. Ok, you'll like this, Randy just called and I told him that Alex was on the sleep couching. I think I'm losing it. LOL.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkeness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

This verse is so true, I have experienced that battle recently and I know that God won the battle for me. It is amazing how dirty the devil will fight when he knows he is down for the count. He hits below the belt and tries to take your wind away. He wants us to feel weak, helpless, small and ready to give in, but I will not be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ. I will boldly proclaim it. Satan has no power over me. There is more with us then be with them. I like to invision the heavenly host in their chariots of fire ready to do battle for the Lord. If the enemy comes from the rear the Lord is covering my back and if they try to come at me before me my Savior goes before me. He is there all the time ready and waiting to protect me. I just excited thinking about it. I know that with God all things are possible. I PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME, HALLELUAH! Do you feel that way I hope you do. If you don't you can, just give your heart to Jesus and be willing to follow his lead.

Romans 8:38,39. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
